Saber Interactive has released a major update 12.0 for the third-person action game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Along with it, the game introduced a new Techmarine class, which is a specialist focused on crowd control and holding positions. Its unique ability, the Servo Skull Cannon, automatically fires at enemies in its field of view, allowing the player to simultaneously engage in melee combat or carry out strikes without interrupting their current actions. Along with the new class, his canonical weapon was added to the arsenal – the ax of the Omnissiah, capable of inflicting devastating damage to both single targets and groups of enemies when using charged attacks.
The developers have also expanded the list of available PvE operations by introducing a new map, “Sabotage.” It will take place in the hive city of Avarax, where players will first have to hold off the onslaught of the Tyranids along with the Cadian Guardsmen, and then team up with the Dreadnought to clear the lower levels of the forces of the Thousand Sons. By the way, in PvE missions you can now find Tarantula-type turrets. These automatic defense points provide fire support, but require periodic replenishment of ammunition.
To improve survivability in the heat of battle, restorative stimulants were introduced into the game. This type of equipment restores a small amount of health instantly and then gradually replenishes the contested health, encouraging an aggressive fighting style. Also worth noting is the addition of a host migration option for Siege mode, which allows you to continue a match on a new server if a failure occurs, preserving your current session progress.
In addition, the developers have made a large number of changes in balance and gameplay. You can view the full list at page games on Steam.
