Released in 1997, the MMORPG Ultima Online is one of the main predecessors of the genre and does not seem to be going to rest yet. The developers have announced a new version of the legendary game called Ultima Online New Legacy and it may be released in 2022.
According to the information provided in the authors’ statement, Ultima Online New Legacy should attract new players to its ranks and allow you to start completely from scratch:
“Our main goal this year is to bring Ultima Online to the widest possible audience with the release of UO: New Legacy.. UO:NL will give those who have not yet experienced the magic of Ultima Online a chance to start over on a shard designed to capture the essence of UO like RPG and MMO, and the opportunity to write your own legacy and be part of an amazing community!” the announcement reads.
Finally, an EA spokesperson announced the release of news and broadcasts of the new version in the coming weeks.
