Electronic Arts has officially announced a remake of the cult sci-fi horror Dead Space, released in 2008. Developed by Motive Studios, which has a hand in games such as Star Wars Battlefront II and Star Wars: Squadrons. The announcement took place during the presentation of EA Play Live.
Dead Space is completely recreated from the ground up with the goal of making the gameplay even deeper and more immersive. The remake uses the Frostbite engine and will boast modern graphics, improved sound and updated controls. According to the developers, the game will offer a new level of immersion in the gloomy atmosphere of the Ishimura spacecraft and raise the degree of horror.
A remake of Dead Space is being made for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC. No release date has been announced yet.
