Esports holding ESforce and the Russian Computer Sports Federation together with the BASE platform announced about the launch of a new series of tournaments in the multiplayer sports game Superball. The total prize fund will be 5,500,000 rubles, which will be drawn during the game year. Professional teams from Russia and the CIS will be able to participate in the competition.
“In Superball we see great potential and opportunities for the development of this type of program in an e-sports vein. Introducing a new game to the market is always a very responsible task, in which it is important not only to apply maximum capabilities and resources to its implementation, but also to be inspired by it. With each new project we grow, we find new approaches and ideas. That’s why bringing new hits to the esports market is a new challenge and an opportunity for us to improve and not stop there,” said Alexander Galustyan, executive director of ESforce.
“Introducing a new product to the market is a very responsible and important step. I’m glad that we’re getting more and more esports games lately. Starting in December we will start holding online tournaments for this game. I am confident that the audience will positively welcome this product on the market. For our part, we will do our best to promote the game on the Russian market. Perhaps in the future we will integrate Superball competitions into our calendar tournaments,” added Dmitry Smith, President of the FCC of Russia.
The first series starts in December 2024 and will include six online tournaments with qualifications, a group stage and playoffs. The event will end with a large-scale LAN final at the VK Play Arena, where the best teams based on the ratings will be invited.
SUPERBALL is a team sports game with elements of football and hero action, offering quick matches in a 3v3 format. The project offers several unique characters to choose from, including a mermaid with a fish-shaped cannon, a robot with a huge hammer, and a tiger man. The key to victory is well-coordinated team play and a competent combination of abilities.
