The developers of MOBA League of Legends are going to slightly rework the champion named Ahri. A mini-rework is expected along with the release of Update 2.3, which will take place on February 2, 2022, but players will be able to evaluate the changes on the PTS server in the near future.
How told champion designer August “Riot August” Browning via his personal Twitter account, this rework aims to solidify Ahri’s status as a “mobile mage” as well as make her more useful in lane. The full list of changes is below.
Basic characteristics
To compensate for the rest of Ahri’s changes and make her more appropriate to the role of a mage, the base stats have been weakened:
- Health:
526 + 92 per level>>> 480 + 82 per level - Health regeneration:
5.5>>> 2.5 - Armor:
21>>> 18
Essence Drain (Passive Skill)
These changes will make Ahri more useful in the lane:
- When killing minions or monsters, Ahri gains an Essence Fragment
- After receiving 9 fragments, Ahri consumes them to heal for 40-120 (+25% AP)
- When Ahri finishes off an enemy champion within 3 seconds of damaging them, she consumes their essence, healing for 80 – 200 (+35% AP)
- Brand new VFX + SFX effects for all skins
Orb of Deception (Q)
Small nerf:
- Mana cost:
65 – 85>>> 60 – 100
Fox fire (W)
Buff for more reliable play on the lane:
- Damage:
40 – 140>>> 60 – 160 - Mana cost:
45>>> 25 - Flame duration:
5 s>>> 2.5 s - Increased Movement Speed Duration:
1.5 s>>> 2 s - Updated last hit logic and improved VFX effect
Charm (E)
Adjusted to deal more frontal damage:
- Damage:
60 – 180 (+40% AP)>>> 80 – 200 (+60% AP) - Mana cost:
70>>> 50 - REMOVED: No longer grants 20% increased damage against the target
Spectral Rush (R)
Improvements have been made to partially cooldown the skill and increase the duration:
- Duration:
10 s>>> 15 s - NEW: Consuming a Champion’s Essence with Essence Drain (p) while Spectral Rush is active increases the recast duration by 10 seconds and grants an additional cast of Spectral Rush, up to a maximum of 3.
- Updated VFX effects and added icons to the panel.
In the future, the developers of League of Legends also plan to rework Udyr. Unlike Ahri, he will receive a full-fledged rework with new abilities and a changed appearance.
