The Wagadu Chronicles was announced in September 2020 by German studio Twin Drums. The developers presented the game as the first afro-fantasy MMORPG with a large world and managed to raise over 160,000 euros on KickStarter.
After the introduction of the new product, it was not heard for more than a year, but more recently, the authors announced the first alpha tests. Alpha 1 will start as early as the second half of February for those who participated in the crowdfunding campaign.
The Wagadu Chronicles is an isometric Afro-Fantasy MMORPG with sci-fi elements based on African myths and legends. The developers plan to implement features in it more like in the EVE Online sandbox and focus on role-playing systems, as well as trading.
In the second half of February, players would step into the world of Wagadu for the very first time! 😱🔥We are super excited to bring our Alpha-1 to reality and cannot thank you enough for your support. 🥰🤗#MMORPG #afrofantasy #black #gamedevelopment #ign pic.twitter.com/roLu12vx8s
