Amazon Games Studio Vice President Christoph Hartmann gave an exclusive interview portal Variety, in which he said that the company is developing eight projects. He did not share details or release dates, only said that new games would be released regularly, two or three a year. According to him, developers place great emphasis on quality, so the development process takes many years.
As for the upcoming projects, when asked about the release date of the new Tomb Raider from Crystal Dynamics and the MMORPG based on The Lord of the Rings, the answer was given in the spirit of “it won’t be tomorrow, but not for so long.” Teams do not want to rush, as they strive for the quality of AAA games.
As for the MMORPG Throne and Liberty, then, according to Hartmann, it was NCSOFT that approached with a proposal to become a global publisher of this game. There’s a lot to learn as this is the first multi-platform game for Amazon Games Studio.
Let us remind you that the global release of the MMORPG Throne and Liberty will take place on September 17, 2024, and the console version of the ARPG New World: Aeternum will be released on October 15. But the release date for MMORPG Blue Protocol is still unknown.
