During the presentation of the AMD Gaming Festival, AMD introduced two new graphics cards: Radeon RX 7700 XT and Radeon RX 7800 XT. Both will go on sale on September 6, 2023, and buyers will be able to receive a Starfield space action role-playing game as a gift.
The new graphics cards use a new graphics processor called Navi 32. In the maximum configuration, it has 60 compute units and a 256-bit memory bus, as well as 64 MB of fast Infinity Cache. The exact characteristics in comparison with other models are shown in the image below.
According to AMD, the Radeon RX 7800 XT in games with a resolution of 1440p and maximum graphics quality outperforms the GeForce RTX 4070 by 3.5% on average. In some projects, the gap reaches from 5% to 23%, although in those where ray tracing is used, the GeForce RTX 4070 still wins. Under the same conditions, the Radeon RX 7700 XT is on average 12% ahead of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB.
The Radeon RX 7700 XT will go on sale for $449 (€489), while the Radeon RX 7800 XT will cost $499 (€549)
