Apple TV has completed the third season of the sci-fi series “Shelter”, and the premiere of the fourth and final season has already been set for next summer. However, it seems that the streaming service has much more ambitious plans for this universe.
According to insider Sigmund Judge, the company develops spin-off, which could enter pre-production as early as the end of this year. It is assumed that the new series is based on the upcoming novel by Hugh Howie, the author of the original book series, and will tell about the events in Shelter 40, where the uprising took place.
So far, neither Apple nor Howie himself have officially confirmed this information – moreover, the writer publicly denies the existence of such plans. However, there is one detail that makes us take the rumors seriously: the Shelter scenery has not yet been dismantled.
Usually, if a series does not continue (whether the story ends or is cancelled), studios quickly dismantle and sell off the sets to make way for new projects.
