Developers ARC Raiders have released patch 1.45.0, which includes another raider project that launches the fifth Expedition, as well as a new set of Hornet Hunter equipment and upcoming changes to the Cred currency.
This patch will be the last major update before the release of Frozen Trail – a large-scale update is planned for October 8th.
Project “Climbing the Mountain”
According to the update’s plot, the raiders’ efforts revealed traces of mysterious phantom ARC signals, which worried a character named Shani. The problem is that the source of the signals leads to a mountain range located beyond the reach of the tunnel system.
According to rumors, engineer Apollo is already working on an experimental solution to this problem and has requested the help of raiders who understand the drawings and can act unnoticed. Raider’s new project invites players to take part in solving the mystery of the signals and gain access to the Hornet Hunter set.
Cred currency will become a thing of the past
The developers are preparing the game for the release of a major update, Frozen Trail, which will bring with it a rework of the Raider Decks system. As part of this preparation, the studio announced the abandonment of the Cred currency in its current form.
Cred will remain available for use until October 8th, so players are encouraged to spend their accumulated funds before this date. The developers explained the reason for the changes:
We’re eliminating Cred as a currency as we launch a larger rewards system with the Frozen Trail update. All existing Raider Deck rewards will also be available in the new system.
Players will retain all rewards that were already received at the time the update was released.
An important caveat is that all remaining Cred in your account will be burned with the launch of Frozen Trail. The developers advise not to put off spending currency from Shani or the remaining Raider Deck rewards.
Rubber ducks from the community
A separate point of the patch was the appearance of rubber ducks in the game, the design of which was developed by the audience itself ARC Raiders as part of the vote. They can be found in the Bird City location, where players can now pick up the ducks and display them in their Raider Den.
The developers expressed gratitude to the authors of the winning designs – users under the nicknames gekko.rar, im_AshCheeks and nassguhl, whose works have now officially become part of the game world.
To activate the update you need to update ARC Raiders. The shooter is available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
