ArenaNet announced that it will present the fifth addition to the MMORPG Guild Wars 2 on June 4, 2024. At the moment there is almost no information about him except one screenshot and a short teaser.
The new expansion’s plot will tell “a more grounded story in the new region of Tyria, focusing more on local threats and the global conversation surrounding those threats.” The new region will open gradually: approximately half will appear at the release of the update, and the rest will be added and expanded as part of quarterly updates. Thanks to the introduction of DirectX 11, graphics will be able to boast higher quality images in the new region. You can evaluate it from the screenshot below:
In the teaser video, in addition to the announcement of the expansion presentation date, you can see the character holding a spear. Previously, none of the classes in the game possessed this weapon.
