During the PlayStation Showcase 2021 launch, we learned that Aspyr Media is making a remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It will be a temporary PlayStation 5 exclusive.

Publisher Aspyr Media, who is familiar with the mobile ports of the two parts of Knights of the Old Republic, is currently remaking the first part. We learned this during the PlayStation Showcase 2021 event. Unfortunately, so far we only have a teaser trailer, where the voiceover asks to stop the powerful Sith. No release date, plus no gameplay material.

Probably a remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic will be a temporary exclusive on PlayStation 5. An interesting decision, because before that Sony tried to make games for the PlayStation 4 as well. The reason is simple – the lack of new generation consoles. Some publications report that the project budget will be $ 70 million. Probably we will see the release no later than 2023, because then Electronic Arts will end the license for Star Wars.
