In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the developers give you the opportunity to set the difficulty of exploring the world yourself. In this guide, we will tell you what difficulty to choose for various scenarios of passing the game.
In Valhalla, you can separately adjust the difficulty of battles, stealth, and exploration. And if everything is clearer with the first two: the enemies become stronger and weaker, more suspicious, or they do not notice Eivor under their noses, then the third one is somewhat more difficult. So, what will the different research difficulty settings give us?
They determine what you will see on the screen: hints, search zones, targets on the compass.
- The most player-friendly mode is Adventurer: it will remind you if there are nearby quests available, as well as highlight search areas, mark targets on the compass and indicate the distance to them.
- “Explorer” contains most of the elements from the previous difficulty level, however, during the execution of quests, it gives fewer hints, prompting the player to independently explore the area and rely on the tasks set by the quest.
- Finally, Pathfinder is for those who want to explore the world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on their own. In this mode, messages about nearby missions are turned off, and fewer marks are displayed on the compass. You will have to rely on your powers of observation and the help of a companion raven.
You can change the difficulty of exploring the world at any time during the game, as well as customize individual elements, using the fourth option available in the settings.
