Not everything a Viking does in ancient England involves fighting. Sometimes you can do peaceful things in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. For example, fishing. In this guide, we will show you how to use the fishing rod in the game.
To unlock fishing in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you need to reach the second level of the settlement and build a fishing hut in it. A local fisherman will offer you to bring rare fish, for which he will reward you with runes, ingots, treasure maps and other valuable loot.
Fishing in the game is quite simple. Find a body of water and use Odin’s vision to see where the fish are splashing (or find them yourself). Then press N (or use the shortcut key on your gamepad) to equip your fishing rod, aim with the right mouse button and cast the line into the water.
Then wait: eventually the prey will approach the bait, and you will need to press the Spacebar to hook it. As soon as the fish gets on the hook, pull it towards you. Change the direction of movement: if the prey moves in one direction for a long time, the line will break.
That’s all there is to know about how to fish in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Remember that you can fish not only from the shore – use a boat to get to richer places.
