The creators of the isometric roe of Titan Quest II announced that not three, but four skills (classes) will be available in early access of the game. Rogue will be added to the previously declared Warfare, Earth and Storm. According to the authors, this skill will become an additional reason to wait for the game to release the game, as it will add new tactical capabilities and variability of builds to the gameplay.
Rogue is built on three key principles: accuracy, preparation and evasion. Heroes of this class have high accuracy, use special coatings for weapons, weakening enemies and preparing them for powerful combinations of blows, and also rely on mobility, moving around the battlefield, like shadows. Rogue is less than other skills to protect, therefore, when creating a character, it is important to correctly combine it with other fighting styles.
The main skills of Rogue:
- Lethal Strike is a powerful attack that causes increased damage to a single target. If the blow kills the enemy, reloading the skill is instantly dropped, which allows you to quickly finish off weakened enemies. Special modifiers make it possible to add additional effects, such as the chance of “gap”, which causes damage as a percentage of the enemy’s health, a poisonous explosion or bonus damage for the marked goals.
- Mark for Death – allows you to mark the enemy, reducing its resistance to damage and applying weakening effects. The ability opens up opportunities for combinations with other skills: for example, enemies affected by the mark can receive additional damage from poison or shadow daggers, and some modifications make it possible to cause shadow blades that attack the target.
- Flicker – the ability to teleport to the enemy and applying a damage to the damage. This is an important skill for tactics “hit and disappeared”, which allows you to instantly move around the battlefield, avoiding counterattacks. When used, the Flow effect is also given, which enhances other abilities. Modifiers can turn this skill into an even more powerful offensive, increasing damage or adding additional charges.
- Preparation is an aura that increases damage from poison and physical attack, but at the same time a reserve part of the character’s energy. This skill enhances the main attacks of Rogue, and modifiers can increase the chance of imposing negative effects, increase critical damage or even transform all the damage to the weapon into toxic or penetrating.
Rogue skill is especially effective with the correct selection of equipment and a combination of skills. One of the possible builds is focused on toxic damage: the character uses Preparation to convert damage to the poison, then uses Mark for Death, reducing the enemy’s resistance, after which it is teleported using Flaker, and completes the attack with powerful lethal Strike, which explodes the enemy, affecting the nearest enemies to the closest enemies emissions.
Despite the focus on the battle with the help of weapons, Rogue also has the potential for hybrid builds with spells. Due to the possibility of calling for shadow daggers, many skills can be used not only for physical attack, but also for magical damage. This opens up additional opportunities when combined with the skills of Earth and Storm, where the KnowLEDGE skill enhances damage from fire, cold, lightning and poison.
The developers of Titan Quest II promise to regularly publish new materials about the mechanics of the game, including the Rogue demonstration in battle and gameplay rollers. More details will be disclosed in the next updates of the game blog.
