Baldurs Gate 3 Guide How to Find and Save Baldur's Gate 3 Guide - How to Find and Save Zevlor

Zevlor is a brave leader of the tiefling refugees who is ready to defend his people until his last breath. Even if you side with him when you first meet him, his fate in Baldur’s Gate 3 will be quite tragic. True, you can still try to help him.

First meeting

You will first meet Zevlor at the beginning of Act 1 at the gate leading to the Emerald Grove during the fight with the goblins. After repelling the attack, you can get to know him better in the refugee camp and learn about his desire to repel the goblins, led by the evil drow Mintara, who plans to seize the grove.

How to find Zevlor in the Emerald Grove Baldur's Gate 3

To be able to save Zevlor, you need to help him defeat the goblins, but be prepared for the fact that the leader of the tieflings is not going to stand aside and will fight in the front ranks, so you may well not survive this battle. Therefore, monitor his health indicators and try to cover him, otherwise his story will end before it even begins.

After the victory, Zevlor will thank you for your help and, together with other refugees, will go to Baldur’s Gate.

Disappearance of Zevlor

You will learn about the fate of the tieflings in the second act. When you reach the Last Light tavern in the Shadowblighted Lands, you will see many familiar faces there, but Zelvor will not be among them. They will tell you that the refugee caravan was attacked by followers of the Absolute, after which the leader of the tieflings disappeared. Some say he was grabbed while trying to fight back, others believe he simply panicked and decided to run away. In any case, he hardly deserves to become a prisoner of these insane cultists.

Zevlor Location

The next time you have a chance to meet Zevlor is towards the end of the second act, when you find yourself in the Illithid Colony location, which is located under the Lunar Towers, but to free him, you will have to fight a group of extremely dangerous opponents.

You can get there by jumping into the hole in the destroyed tower after the first battle with Keteric Torm. In the northern part of the colony (to the left of the main entrance) you will find a room with capsules where followers of the Absolute keep prisoners for further implantation of larvae. One of the capsules will contain Zevlor. The problem is that the button in the corner of the room opens all the capsules, and four of them contain hostile illithids. Fortunately, in addition to the tiefling itself, in a couple of capsules there are other prisoners who have not yet converted who will fight on your side.

Rescue of Zevlor

This battle can be quite difficult depending on which teammates you bring with you. Fortunately, illithids will mostly attack other prisoners, plus sometimes a bug can work in the player’s favor. If there is only one of your characters in the room at this moment, and you manage to get him out the door and close it without leaving the battle, the crazed mind flayers may begin to attack each other.

Defeating the enemies here leads to a conversation with Zevlor, in which you can allow him to go into Baldur’s Gate so he can atone for his mistakes to the rest of the tieflings.

What happens if you save Zevlor Baldur's Gate 3

Although you won’t receive any material rewards for rescuing him, choosing to help him will improve your relationship with most of your teammates, and it will also give you another ally for the final battle.
