Baldur’s Gate 3 is out in Early Access, so while players can get a good idea of the upcoming game, they’ll have to put up with content restrictions and level caps.
At the moment, only one of the three planned acts in the full version is playable, so the maximum achievable level is also quite low. So players have much less room for imagination in terms of developing their characters as they go on their adventures in the game world.
Max level in Baldur’s Gate 3
At the moment, the leveling of characters stops when they reach level 4. You will most likely get it before you complete all 25 hours of the first act content. If you still doubt whether it is worth playing, then this information will surely be useful to you.
Earlier on Reddit, developers from Larian Studios mentioned that in the full version of Baldur’s Gate 3 they will focus on character level 10 as the maximum. But in a later interview Rock Paper Shotgun lead systems designer Nick Pechenin revealed that the character level cap for Baldur’s Gate 3 has yet to be finalized.
It is stated that Baldur’s Gate 3 will remain in Early Access for at least another year, so it will be a long time before we know for sure the maximum level in the full version. But we’ll try to keep an eye on it as it changes during Early Access and update this article as soon as we learn something new.
