Electronic Arts has unveiled the official trailer for the innovative Hazard Zone mode for the first-person shooter Battlefield 2042. In Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone, the player takes on the role of an elite squad, whose task is to collect media from special capsules, and then have to evacuate before the storm breaks out.
But not everything is as simple as it might seem at first glance. The problem is that 8 squads of 4 people each (a total of 32 fighters) will spawn on the map, and they want to get valuable information no less than you. It is in the locations of the capsules that skirmishes between players will most often occur.
According to the developers, a match in the Hazard Zone can take anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes, depending on your playstyle and when you decide to evacuate and if you can do it. They also said that the number of players on the map for different platforms will differ – 32 people on the Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5 and PC, and 24 fighters for the previous generation consoles with a reduced map.
The concept is somewhat similar to the gameplay of Escape From Tarkov, only instead of varied and valuable loot, we need to look for capsules with carriers of important information. In addition, in the Hazard Zone mode there is the possibility of resurrecting a teammate, but if the whole group dies, then the game will be over.
