Battlegrounds reports success in the fight against cheaters

The KRAFTON company has prepared a large report for the first half of 2024, dedicated to the fight against cheating in the popular “Battle Royale” PUBG: Battlegrounds. According to the published letter, the number of blocked accounts has increased significantly, and the percentage of users suspected of foul play has decreased. This became possible thanks to improvements to the Zakynthos anti-cheat system and other measures. A total of 1,480,434 accounts were banned during this period.

According to the developers, they are actively implementing new technologies, such as advanced training, to more accurately identify and classify cheating behavior. The temporary ban system has become more accurate, and the number of unfair bans has decreased. At the same time, the team actively opposes new types of cheats, such as the use of DMA and software based on the latest technologies. They emphasize their commitment to creating a fair gaming environment and take player feedback into account.

Below you can see three graphs. The first shows a decrease in the daily percentage of players suspected of cheating in ranked and regular matches. The second shows daily values by type of temporary blocking. In the third, we can see how the accuracy of temporary bans increases and the number of appeals from players decreases.
