This time, the AppTime edition presents a selection of the top projects on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 for 2020. Some have split the gaming community into two camps, and some are considered add-ons rather than standalone games for the full console price tag. Let’s figure it out together. The previous selection can be viewed here. Vote for your favorite games on the dedicated AppTime Awards 2020 page. As always, we welcome your comments on the best games on PlayStation if you disagree with our opinion.
The Last of Us: Part 2
The winner of the annual ceremony, The Game Awards 2020, was the second part about the grown-up Ellie’s adventures. She will take revenge in rather cruel ways, which are accompanied by heart-rending screams of the victims. In terms of design and environment, the game is five points. Only opinions can diverge because of the themes raised by the developers. Horror elements have faded into the background, and most of the time, we hide from enemies and work “on stealth.”
Ghost of tsushima
The actions of this project take place during the Mongol invasion of Japan. Our hero will cut them with a katana and travel across the roofs with a grappling hook. In addition to the katana, the samurai will have a bow in the arsenal. For the most part, you will have to act stealthily, hiding from enemies in the grass. As in the Dark Souls series, our main task is to approach opponents from behind and deliver the killing blow. After the release, the developers added a cooperative mode, where there are four classes: assassin, ronin, hunter, and samurai.
Demon’s Souls Remake
This is an updated version of the classic Demon’s Souls, which was released on PlayStation 3. Bluepoint Games studio updated the graphics and general visuals, but the source code remained the same, so the enraged enemies and bugs from the original migrated to the remake. According to the plot, we find ourselves in the kingdom of Boletaria, which is teeming with demons and other monsters. The main thing is to collect enough souls and use the local fire system, which allows you to keep your progress and improve your skills.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Red and blue Spider-Man flies with Mary Jane to rest in warm lands, while Miles Morales remains in New York. An inexperienced spider will become a savior of people, besides, hide their superpowers from the family. Compared to the previous part, we are transported to a snowy city on Christmas Eve. The new spider can charge its attacks with bioelectricity so as not to kill enemies even more painfully. At the same time, a real power struggle between criminals and corporations flares up in New York. As a result, Miles will have to donate a lotto bring order to this city.
Final fantasy vii remake
This is one of the most popular titles in the Final Fantasy series. For the most part, we’re getting a completely new product, so don’t expect to stick better textures onto old textures as you did with Demon’s Souls Remake – in Final Fantasy VII Remake, players take on the role of Cloud Strife, who has to face one corporation. Much of the gameplay focuses on exploring large locations and dynamic battles with turn-based elements, like in Final Fantasy XV.
- Nioh 2 – we cut enemies into pieces together with artificial partners; now, you can create your own character.
- Persona 5 Royal – go to school, chat with friends, and help people get rid of bad intentions with a team of superheroes.
- Marvel’s Iron Man VR— Iron Man will save the virtual reality world with Jarvis; for a full experience, it is better to equip two PS Move controllers
