Many Blizzard fans have been waiting for the announcement of the second Diablo remaster. And that moment has come – Blizzard has officially announced Diablo II: Resurrected. Players will receive not only the original version but also the Lord of Destruction expansion. The developers promise a normal rework, and not something like Warcraft III: Reforged. In the remaster, we should expect full 3D models instead of 2D sprites. It will also add support for widescreens (4K resolution) and 7.1 Dolby Surround sound. Cut scenes will also be reworked. If you want, you can always undercut the original graphics.
Blizzard hasn’t changed the balance or the item system, so the gameplay will be similar to what we saw 20 years ago. Just fresh paint. Players will be able to save progress between different devices.
Diablo II: Resurrected will be released on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S in late 2021. Alpha testing for PC coming soon. The cost will be 1,999 rubles for the PC version. See details on the official website.
