Blackout mode differs in many ways from the regular multiplayer mode in Call of Duty: of course, the biggest difference is the size of the map and the need to find weapons, but we also get a different perk system.

In multiplayer, we traditionally choose features and percentages that we simply unlock as we progress, which is why we find perks in Blackout. They appear on the map in the form of small green flags that we raise as weapons and accessories.

Earned perks can be found in the backpack and we can activate them. However, the effect is always limited to 2-3 minutes, so you should carefully consider when to use passive abilities.

It’s also worth noting that Blackout perks work differently than in multiplayer, although some have similar names.

Best Perks

Here we will describe which perks to look out for, which ones to use (and under what circumstances).

Speed

A great talent that increases movement speed while in a crouch position. It also increases crawling speed which is the best aspect of this game.

Thanks to this, we can follow the opponents or just move with less chance that someone will notice us. The perk is best combined with the one described below.

Dead silence

Thanks to this ability, we will not make noise. This means that the enemy will not hear our steps – until it is too late for him.

Medical

This perk is very useful when we play Blackout with friends. We can quickly raise and heal our comrades, and when we do, we will restore more health to them than after a normal resuscitation.

Consumer

Something for those in a hurry. During matches with rivals, every second counts down, and the animation of using items or first-aid kits lasts a little – the consumer makes them shorter.

Paranoia

The most embarrassing defeats in a battle royale are when we don’t know who is attacking us until the last moment, or if anyone is watching us at all. The Paranoia perk causes that when the enemy starts targeting us, we will know about it. Something like Spider-Man’s arachnid sense.

Of course, there is no guarantee that you will always find the items you need. They spawn randomly and we can’t just select them before the match like in multiplayer.
