When we launch the multiplayer mode in Call of Duty: WW2, we will immediately encounter certain elements associated with the different types of currencies in the game. Especially when we visit the Headquarters – you can’t miss a single currency there.
Here we will describe all the main currencies that are used to increase the level, unlock items or new divisions.
As you gain more levels in the multiplayer mode, you can unlock new weapons, offensive and tactical gadgets, new training, and additional streak rewards.
We will open access to this kind of new products by simply rising to higher levels. For example, the FG42 rifle is available from level 42. Only some weapons require reaching a prestige level.
In any case, access to this weapon is not all, because in order to unlock it, we must get one token. Such tokens are marked with a star icon in a circle – they look like medals. We will see them in the multiplayer menu, in the upper right corner of the screen.
Earning chips is easy – you just need to play. By playing, we gain experience points, as in regular online games. Moving on to the next levels, we get tokens.
Loot boxes
Loot boxes are back in Call of Duty: WW2. We can view them in the multiplayer menu or in the headquarters. And there we can open them. However, opening the box in the headquarters looks more efficient – the box falls from the sky, and all the players around it see our prizes.
An easy way to acquire crates is to simply play. After each match, one or two players are selected to receive a prize – it does not even depend on points.
Another way to get chests is to complete orders and contracts that we can get from the boss and General Howard at headquarters.
Not all orders and contracts guarantee rewards, so carefully look at the descriptions of such tasks. It’s always best to only pick the ones that allow you to get loot boxes.
What will we find in the boxes? Miscellaneous items. The most important thing is everything that will give us an advantage on the battlefield in competition with other players. These boxes may contain:
- bonuses for earned experience points.
- camouflage weapons or additional weapon options.
- different colored versions of weapon accessories.
- uniforms for specific units.
- loans.
Some variants of different weapons, such as a different rifle variant (not only in color, but also in shape), may offer some bonuses – for example, an additional increase in income for experience points.
The main currency in Call of Duty: WW2 is the so-called weapon credits. We only use them for two purposes, and none of them are related to unlocking new weapons or gadgets.
First of all, we use credits to collect contracts.
The second goal is to buy weapons, camouflage, uniforms, business cards, and other cosmetic items. The prices here are very high.
We acquire credits simply by visiting staff and collecting daily payment, as well as completing orders.
Social Points is an optional progression system in Call of Duty: WW2. And higher levels increase the chances of getting better rewards.
We receive such points automatically, from time to time, by staying at the Headquarters and performing various actions there. For example, take part in 1 vs 1 duels. Other players can also come to us and praise us, which will also give us some points.
Other ways to get these points are to open loot boxes at HQ and even watch other players open their own prizes.
