Other Ocean Interactive studio, known for its social survival game Project Winter, has announced its new project called Scrap Daddies. This is a cooperative extraction shooter in which a team of up to six people can go into a vibrant but dangerous underwater world in search of valuable artifacts and resources. The release date has not yet been announced, but it is already known that the game will initially be released in early access, where it will remain for at least 12 months.
Scrap Daddies takes place in underwater ruins critical to the survival of the city of New Tortuga. Players, acting as the so-called Scrappers, will raid abandoned bases, encountering underground slimes, battle droids and other deadly obstacles. Raids require you to collect scrap using your tool, the trusty rip saw, which is used to create epic upgrades. The tasks are complicated by the need to find all the power cells and have time to evacuate before the base is completely destroyed.
Scrap Daddies has a deep customization system. Success depends on the right choice of weapons, tools, skills and upgrades that unlock the Scrapper’s potential. The developers focus on the balance of risk and reward: the more active and risky the team conducts the raid, the more powerful it becomes, but the chance of dying before reaching the rescue submarine also increases.
