Compare Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 10

The Redmi Note 11 lineup is available for purchase in China. How much better is it than Redmi Note 10? We’ll find out now.

Yesterday we compared Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro. Now it comes down to basic models. The battle will be serious, and there is only one winner.

To prevent the new generation from skyrocketing in price, Redmi downgraded the Note 11. It turns out that instead of Super AMOLED, the buyer will receive IPS LCD. Yes, without “real black”, but with a frequency of 90 Hz. The diagonal has increased slightly – 6.6 inches versus 6.43 inches. But the pixel density, on the contrary, decreased, but quite slightly, from 409 ppi to 399 ppi.

Because of this “innovation” Note 11 has become a little thicker and heavier by about 20 grams. At the same time, the display protection has not changed, it is still the same IP53. What does this mean in plain language? But what – protection from dust, for example, falling into the sand and from splashing water. That is, a short shower will not do anything to a smartphone if it is at an angle of 60 degrees (usually everyone holds it this way).

In this category, the initiative is taken over by the Note 11. It has a Dimensity 810, while the Note 10 has a Snapdragon 678. It would seem that SD chipsets, on the contrary, are better optimized for games, but this is another matter. You see, the SD 678 is made on an 11nm process technology, while the Dimensity 810 is on 6nm. This already suggests that there will be a colossal minimum difference in energy consumption. But in fact, the difference on all fronts (data taken from Nano Review):

  • CPU performance: 44 vs.37
  • Gaming performance: 30 vs 18
  • Battery life: 82 vs.66
  • Total score: 47 vs.37

Redmi Note 10 produces only 14 FPS in Genshin Impact and this is at a low preset. In almost all popular games, it produces less than 60 FPS at medium or low graphics settings. There is no difference in the batteries, it is 5,000 mAh with 33 W fast charging. And the amount of memory is different, the Note 11 wins – it has 8/256 GB.

The Note 10 has four cameras at 48 + 8 + 2 + 2 megapixels. The main lens even has an f / 1.8 aperture, which will allow you to take night shots. The maximum video resolution is 4K and 30 FPS. There is a wide 13MP lens in front, but you can’t take night shots with it, and the video is only 1080p at 30 FPS.

The Note 11’s situation is incomprehensible. Apparently, again because of the desire to save money, the manufacturer put only two lenses at the back of 50 and 8 megapixels. The aperture is the same as its predecessor, but buyers were deprived of the macro lens and depth sensor. There is a 16 megapixel camera in front, which is a plus on paper, but in reality the same can be seen at 1080p and 30 FPS.

  • Redmi Note 10 4/64 GB – 16,990 rubles
  • Redmi Note 11 4/128 GB – 17 378 rubles (Chinese version)

One thing can be said – gamers should definitely take Note 11. It has more memory and a better chipset. Will he be able to surprise? It is unlikely that the same hot POCO X3 Pro costs several thousand more, but offers a decent processor. Note 10 is better to take only to elderly relatives, as it is an outdated smartphone, even in the budget category.
