The Russian studio Cyberia Nova, known for the action of the third person, “Troubles”, officially presented her new game called “Zemsky Cathedral”. Although the developers mentioned the existence of this project earlier, a full announcement with the disclosure of key details took place only now. The release of the game will be held on November 4, 2025 on PC through the service VK Play. It is noteworthy that all users who have bought the “turmoil” before the release of the new item will receive it for free.
The Zemsky Cathedral will offer the players a new story that unfolds after the events of “Troubles”, and the main character will be the Cossack Kirsha, the ally of Yuri Miloslavsky. The plot of the game will immerse users into the backstage intrigues of the Zemstvo Cathedral in 1613, when delegates from all over Russian land gathered for the election of a new king. Kirsha seeks to prevent the throne or traitors to the throne, for which he will need both an acute mind and military skills.
The developers rethought the main game mechanics, introducing a new system of peaceful and combat movement for the protagonist and non -game characters. The creative director of the studio Sergey Russians noted that special attention is paid to the fighting and secretive passage systems. Players will be able to combine close and distant battle, as well as secretly eliminate opponents with the help of throwing knives and other weapons. Active interaction with the environment through the elements of QTE and mini-games is also stated. The plot of the “Zemstvo Cathedral” will be linear and without RPG elements. The studio seeks to combine historical reliability with the narrative on behalf of the protagonist, using the reception of a “unreliable storyteller”, which, according to the developers, will allow to plunge deeper into the atmosphere of political intrigues of that era.
