Korean company NEXON published June dev-blog of the third-person action role-playing game Vindictus: Defying Fate. In the new issue, the developers talked about the village of Kolhen and Kalbram’s mercenaries.
Kolkhen is a village that will become the starting point for players’ adventures. It is located close to the front lines and was previously heavily damaged by the combined forces of the Fomorians serving the Demon Lord. To increase security, the Royal Knights created a new mercenary corps. Kolkhen became one of the places where the mercenaries were stationed. This village is now under the protection of the Kalbram Mercenary Corps under the leadership of Captain Aidan. In Kolchen you can feel a unique atmosphere that combines peaceful civilian houses and military installations.
The mercenary corps of the Royal Knights of Rochest, known as the “Culbram Mercenary Corps”, is stationed in Colhen to maintain security in the village and surrounding areas. It is named after the Kolhen Vigilance Committee. As the war dragged on and the strength of the royal knights diminished, the people of Colhen took measures of self-defense. But ordinary residents were not enough to protect themselves from attacks. Most of the warriors died during the Fomorian attack. Captain Aidan named the corps after the Vigilance Committee to honor their patriotism. The corps uniform is practical, but not all mercenaries wear it. If they dress in casual clothing, they must wear a badge indicating their corps membership.
Unfortunately, a release date for Vindictus: Defying Fate has yet to be announced.
