Developers' plans to add paid classes have caused dissatisfaction among Last Epoch players

The news of the introduction of paid classes into the game caused heated discussions among the community of the action-RPG Last Epoch. Some players reacted with understanding to this news, but some were extremely dissatisfied and went to express their dissatisfaction on Steam. Over the course of several days, a total of 434 reviews were left, of which only 30% were positive.

In their comments, players recall the words of the developers, who promised not to add paid content and P2W elements, the presence of many bugs and technical problems in the current version of the game, as well as the modest pace of development and “only two seasons in 2026.” Some blame the developers for this, while others consider the publisher Krafton, who acquired the Eleventh Hour Games studio in July 2025, to be guilty.

Criticism is also heard on the official forum of the game – in the thread with the announcement of paid classes, more than 200 people left their comments. And many also express dissatisfaction with the developers’ plans.

Neutral and positive comments are heard on all platforms: some suggest waiting for the planned changes before burying the game, while others are confident that the developers will not demand a lot of money for classes and everyone will be able to support the game financially. However, at first glance, there are somewhat fewer such statements than criticism and “funeral of the game.”
