The authors of the Tactical RPG in the Frosthaven dark fantasy genre, based on the Frosty Gavan desktop game, announced the exact release date. The project will appear in the early access to the PC (SteamEpic Games Store) already this month, July 31, 2025. The price will be 38.99 euros.
The development of Frosthaven is engaged in Snapshot Games under the leadership of General Director Julian Gollop, known as the author of X-Com, with the participation of the creator of the desktop game Isaac Childres from Cephalofair Games as a project consultant. Both teams expressed their enthusiasm about the soon Frosthaven output to early access.
The launch will only be the beginning of the Frosthaven path, since players will be able to directly participate in the evolution of this video game adaptation, providing their reviews, which will help to form and develop the game throughout the entire period of early access. At the time of the start, approximately a third of the planned content will be available for the full version 1.0, and it is planned to release further updates with an interval of about three months.
The content of early access will include the modes of a single game and an online cooperative, eight unique characters (six starting and two unlocked), more than 40 tasks, including detailed training missions, more than 100 depending on the choice of the player of events, as well as the ability to build their own advance, erecting buildings and performing events.
