DJI Mavic Air 2 firmware update adds 4x zoom, 4K hyper-lapse and more

Firmware version V01.00.0340, which is 178.3MB in size, is the first major update since the consumer drone began shipping just over three months ago. … The update offers increased digital zoom, new hyper-lapse resolution, improved obstacle avoidance, and more.

The user now has a digital zoom of x2 when shooting 4K video at 30, 25 and 24 fps, as well as when shooting 2.7K video at 60, 50, 48, 30, 25 and 24 fps. When shooting Full HD video at 60, 50, 48, 30, 25 and 24 fps, x4 digital zoom is available.

The new Safety Flight Mode automatically avoids obstacles. Moving in this mode, and will not respond to commands to fly left or right.

In the update, FPV mode for gimbal is optimized, when shooting hyperlapse, it became possible to pause shooting, the number of waypoints was increased to 45 and support for the task library was added. In addition, Sport Mode and ActiveTrack have been optimized when tracking vehicles at low altitude.
