8Doors: Arum’s Afterlife Adventure is a driving platformer with RPG elements, puzzles and dark black-and-white style with rare splashes of blood spilling in all directions and collapsing scenery with pungent dust rising. The developers from Rootless Studio added special effects with no less expressive and spectacular gameplay: the events unfold in cramped gladiatorial arenas filled with opponents, traps and zones for interaction, jumping and acrobatic stunts.

But the universe does not resemble another version of Super Meat Boy, but diligently moves away from other people’s ideas and experiments at every step. We are talking about supporting multiplayer passage (both cooperative and competitive: from time to time you have to look for allies, fight together or hide from pursuers who violate the reality of an already troubled world with their own follies), and about pumping skills, and about choosing characters.
