Bite the Bullet is an episodic side-scrolling shooter with a pixelated style inspired by slot machines from the 80s, dynamic gunfights in a fictional universe and simple RPG elements that expand the combat potential of virtual Rambo.

The developers did not try to work out the gameplay from scratch – many ideas were borrowed from eminent competitors, including Contra, but the scenery and story were prepared without directly traceable references. The events unfold from the side of a fearless fighter, forced to defend his own corporation from mutants, alien organisms and other parasites who have escaped from secret laboratories and are preparing to get out into the wild.

The hero will have to continuously move through specially equipped attractions, shoot at opponents, accumulate experience points and discover exclusive skills and abilities. As you progress through the abilities, it becomes more, but at the same time, the complexity grows: enemies begin to move more actively, combine skills and make them almost never stand still – but jump, take off on a rocket pack and water the ground from machine guns and pistols, without interruption and for a couple seconds.
