Story line

The main character is an ordinary citizen of a small European principality. His father was also a blacksmith, like his grandfather and great-grandfather. One terrible day, the family loses their entire fortune at once, and something needs to be done about it. Our protagonist goes to war under the banner of his state, and returns from it literally with nothing, acquiring only mental and physical injuries. After that, you intend to carry out the last will of the father, specified in the will. Each of the family members died a terrible death, and you are left all alone in this bloody world. By the will of fate, our hero finds himself in the very center of a mysterious conspiracy.

A group of revolutionaries kidnapped the king, after which a new bloody conflict broke out in the country. The player will have to explore the whole open world, dressed in knightly armor, forged by himself. Use various abilities (both diplomacy and military strategy) to move further along the storyline. Try to win satellites over to your side, communicate with NPCs and complete their quests. Players can play the role of both a positive and a negative hero – the plot is non-linear, and its ending depends solely on your actions.

Combat system

Immediately after starting a new game, you will notice that the view here is only possible from the first person, and switching is not possible. This was done by experienced designer Daniel Vavra in order for the players to get the most immersion in the atmosphere of the world around them. The gameplay consists of both communicating with characters, traveling around your native country, and of course, the battles themselves. At the same time, battles can be presented both in the form of jousting and one-on-one tournaments, and in the form of full-scale battles, where several armies clash against each other. All this is done on the latest game engine of the new generation CryEngine 3, so that the picture looks as realistic as possible. From the very beginning of the game you have a choice of three different classes: minstrel, bandit and brave warrior. But the developers assure that we will be able to combine them with the help of the appropriate leveling of talent branches, eventually getting a generalist.
