Nanotale – Typing Chronicles is an experimental RPG puzzle game from Fishing Cactus that painstakingly turns classic RPG concepts upside down. The developers do not offer to spend hours cleaning virtual villages and fighting bosses, gaining experience and even longer choosing the right equipment in the inventory.

Events unfold according to a different scenario: awards are given for the passed tests, based on the choice of suitable words from a special toolkit. The choice is extensive – the names of spells and items, traps and obstacles. The choice often determines the way of interacting with the world and how quickly the hero will cope with the dangers that lie ahead.

In addition to the unusual gameplay, the narrative is also impressive: the story is served through animated screensavers, diary entries and tooltips that appear in the names of objects. And watching the plot does not get bored even many hours later – too often the developers philosophize and change the events around. It is almost impossible to predict how the entire heroic path will end – even with a strong desire.
