Narita Boy is a hardcore arcade game with platforming mechanics and RPG elements, partially based on the ideas and concepts of Dark Souls, but performed by the developers from Studio Koba in a 2D projection with expressive pixel style. The gameplay is truly multifaceted and complex – even at the training stage, you have to diligently understand rolls and jumps, attacking combinations and additional skills.

Further life will only become more difficult – bosses and puzzles will appear, and at the same time obstacles will make you calculate your steps in advance and quickly adapt to the changing world. The plot narration in the arcade is designed very superficially – as you progress through endless battles, only occasionally interrupted by animated screensavers or text messages that appear on the screen, telling about the scenery, opponents or bosses that look completely unusual – giant pixel arms consisting of neon tubes are strange trees walking on their feet with lamps in their foreheads, and majestic birds perching on branches in the stone jungle.

Pretentious and unpredictable, but even more fun – the world literally makes you believe in an alternative reality.
