Necken is a mystical turn-based strategy game with an expressive visual reference to Scandinavian folklore and a mythical atmosphere that unfolds in the wilds of a virtual fantasy forest. The story is presented by the developer Joccish unpretentious – a nameless girl got lost in an unknown land and is forced to wade through thorns, traps and obstacles to her native land.

But here’s the trouble – the path is full of obstacles, including predators, instantly engaging in battle with everyone they meet. But, perhaps, it is quite possible to outwit the same wolves by showing a little ingenuity? The gameplay in the strategy is slow – 90% of the time you have to jump on pre-prepared cells, freely choosing a suitable route and reacting to the actions of the world (after each move, the position of some opponents and things changes).

Where to move and when to change direction depends on the tactics chosen and the desired result. But the developers do not recommend following the beaten path every time and suggest choosing experimental routes, sometimes leading to the mouth of a predator, but periodically presenting treasures, secrets and legends.
