This adventure RPG was supposed to be born in 2001, when the developers announced the appearance of a real sequel that would continue the first part of the series. But it didn’t work out and nothing happened. And the development project was closed in October of the same 2001. Therefore, it is unlikely that the creators will want to return to this idea again, especially since a fairly large number of games and various additions to Gothic have already been released since that moment. Therefore, we will most likely never see the game released. I would like to note that this would be a direct continuation of the sensational first part, which broke all records and sales expectations, becoming one of the best-selling games of that year. Unfortunately, the dream of a sequel never came true. But nothing, because there are other games in the series that completely restart Gothic and the entire history of the story. But this is what Gothic was famous for. This is what made her different from others – the storyline. Here she was always beautiful and wonderful, with a touching finale and dramatic endings. We are sure that the sequel would come out just as exciting and interesting. But, alas, not meant to be.
