The new adventure game STAY COOL, KOBAYASHI-SAN!: A RIVER CITY RANSOM STORY is coming to the game screens and is already available for download via torrent. There was an incident involving Yamada, the student council president of Reiho Academy, a school for the gifted. He threw neighboring high schools into panic and chaos when he suddenly started manipulating their students with a mysterious power. It was Yamada’s former friend, the righteous delinquent Kunio from Nekketsu High School, who took control of the situation. After the riot, Yamada disappeared unnoticed. Up to two players can play the game together. In single player mode, the second character is controlled by the CPU. There is no friendly fire option or difficulty selection in the game. When starting the game for the first time, players first create a Kobayashi friend. The character must be named, assigned a gender, and the type of relationship they have with Kobayashi (Friendship or Love). The player then selects three items that symbolize the memories of Kobayashi with that friend. Players then enter the prologue of the game. Once the prologue ends, players are placed in a random area to start the game. All areas of the game are open to the player from the start, as in Downtown Special: Kunio-kun no Jidaigeki da yo Zen’in Sh?g? !. The goal of the game is to defeat the leaders of the evil organization and rescue Kobayashi’s friend. To do this, players must defeat 30 fighters associated with each leader. Once the player has defeated 30 fighters of the same color, their leader will appear. Once all leaders are defeated, the mastermind will be revealed. After winning, Kobayashi’s friend is rescued and the player sees the ending.
