The former World of Warcraft developer Chris Kaleiki launched his new Legacy: Steel & Sorcery project in early access, but the start was far from perfect. Despite the experience of working in Blizzard and the desire to take into account the mistakes of the industry, the team of its Notorious Studios studio faced a negative reaction of the community. Many players remained unhappy with the technical condition of the project, and this led to mixed reviews in Steam.
The main problem was the quality of the project that did not correspond to the expectations of the players. The modern audience is accustomed to the fact that even at the stage of early access the game should be in a playable state, albeit with a lack of content. However, Legacy: Steel & Sorcery suffers from bugs, frequent sorties, problems with optimization and low performance.
Although the concept of the game inspired by Dark and Darker itself looks interesting, technical problems prevent the players from enjoying gameplay. Some users could not even fully test the game due to flights on the boot screens, sound bugs and the interface freezes. Numerous complaints of weak optimization and unstable work also spoil the impression of early access.
Despite the negative reviews, the developer team promises to continue to modify the game and, possibly, will learn lessons from this situation. Over the past time, they have already managed to release a couple of hotfixes, but there is still a lot of work ahead. The start was not the same, which the creators were counting on, and now they have to restore the confidence of the audience.
