NCSOFT has reported for the 2nd financial quarter of 2023. The company continues to delay its games to improve their quality, and profits are falling due to declining audiences in mobile projects.
The MMORPG Throne and Liberty is scheduled to release in South Korea in December 2023, with a global release planned for 2024. We wrote more about this earlier. New information about the global version will most likely be announced at gamescom 2023.
Casual “three-in-a-row” PUZZUP: AMITOI will be released by the end of 2023. Battle Crush and Blade & Soul S have been pushed back to the first half of 2024, although they were previously scheduled to be released in the second half of 2023. Both games are aimed at the global market, and everything related to this must be taken into account. MMORTS Project G has been rescheduled from H1 to H2 2024.
MMORPG AION 2 has high sales expectations. The company is betting on this game in the future, and the game is expected to offer a huge world and quality game content. It is still too early to talk about the timing of tests or release. Action adventure plans Project M will tell after the full announcement of AION 2.
Also, the company did not announce the development status of the online shooter LLL, MMORPG Project Skyline And Project E: it can be assumed that these projects will appear very soon.
The release of MMORPG Blade & Soul 2 in Taiwan and Japan was previously planned for the 4th quarter of 2022, but the game has not yet been released. The developers have confirmed that this release is still in the pipeline and there will be new information “soon”.
NCSOFT’s financials continue to fall as audiences decline in mobile games, primarily in Lineage W and Lineage 2M. Lineage M is still the top seller in South Korea. The audience of computer games, although small, is stable.
