The developers of PvPvE action game Dungeon Stalkers have published a second blog detailing upcoming improvements aimed at attracting a wider audience to the action game genre. In the new article the team introduced the Extraction Light system, which reduces the risk of losses when leaving dungeons. In case of defeat, players will only lose items from their backpack, and the equipped items will remain with you. This mechanic will be available in quick matches and co-op Adventure mode.
The developers also decided to return to the roots of the Dungeon Crawler genre by removing the Crimson Veil (narrowing zone) system, inspired by the mechanics of Battle Royale. The minimap will now display environmental information, improving strategic interaction and allowing players to plan dungeon exploration, loot hunting, and boss hunts.
For those looking for a thrill, a more hardcore ranked mode with full loot drops has been retained. In it, players can earn unique Legendary items with powerful effects, such as Stormbringer, which deals lightning damage, or Heartseeker, which adds extra arrows to shots. These items, available only in ranked matches, will allow you to challenge seasonal bosses, details of which will be revealed later.
The developers also shared answers to popular questions. For example, they assured that Dungeon Stalkers will remain free and will not contain pay-to-win elements. In the future, new characters, costumes and the possible introduction of a two-player mode are planned.
