At the end of September 2024, Fntastic, the studio responsible for the failed shooter The Day Before, went to Kickstarter with a new game called Escape Factory and asked users to give them a second chance. The developers insisted that they had taken past mistakes into account and promised to do everything right this time. However, their arguments did not convince the players, so the fundraising campaign was predictably unsuccessful.

The studio decided not to stop there and announced a new game called ITEMS. This is an asymmetrical horror action game in the spirit of hide and seek, reminiscent of one of the previous projects Propnight. For now, the team does not plan to collect money from players – instead, they will simultaneously release mobile games, and all the funds received from them will be used to develop new items. However, once the developers have a fully playable demo, they are considering launching a new Kickstarter campaign or exploring other options.

The announcement of the new ITEMS game from Fntastic expectedly caused a sharp negative reaction among users who openly expressed their dissatisfaction and skepticism. Many commentators have called the developers scammers, claiming that they are unable to deliver on their promises and continue to try to deceive players with new projects. The general atmosphere of the discussions highlights the lack of trust in the company and its products, which casts doubt on the prospects for the successful launch of new games.
