A team of enthusiasts is working on a high-quality literary translation of the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV into Russian. Initially, the project was aimed solely at localizing the interface, but now the fans are going to translate all the text, including dialogues.
The localization process is carried out through the Weblate platform, where you can observe the progress and even suggest your own options. In this case, the text is checked by the art editor before being added to the new assembly. At the moment, only part of the plot of A Realm Reborn and almost the entire interface have been translated.
You can always download the latest version of Final Fantasy XIV localization via GitHub. The team also has a VKontakte group, where it publishes patch notes and other project news. There are two versions to choose from: RUS (localization of all text) and RUEN (titles, names, etc. remain in English).
It is worth noting that there is an application Tataru Helper that translates all the dialogues from the game in a separate window, but using a machine method.
