If we want to cultivate the land and grow crops at the same time, we will have the opportunity to get natural fertilizers. Cows and pigs produce manure, and we can make compost from plant residues. These fertilizers require the use of additional machines.
To maintain crops, we need to fertilize the fields. If we want to switch to natural fertilizers, we must abandon the sprayer. Remember that the use of this second tool is only possible if the plants are in the initial stage of growth.
We also have to buy a lime spreader, which also allows the use of solid fertilizers. Sooner or later, we will have to complete several agricultural machines, the functionality of which may coincide with machines for natural fertilizers.
If we raise pigs or cows, we can use the manure they produce, provided we use straw as bedding (1). We can produce straw ourselves using special machines or buy it from a store. Suitable tools for spreading fertilizer on the field can be found in the Manure Spreaders category.
There are 5 cars to choose from in the price range from 27,500 to 99,500 €. The two cheapest models can be connected to small tractors, while the other three require medium ones. Having the weakest type of tractor, it is best to invest in the cheapest spreader FARMTECH Superfex 800. The width of the machine is 9 meters and the capacity of the manure tank is 10500 liters.
If we have a medium tractor and fields with a small or medium area, we can invest in a KUHN SLC 141 manure spreader, which costs 54,800 euros. However, if we are engaged in large-scale cultivation, it is worth paying attention to the two most expensive models in the ranking. Spreaders Samson FLEX 23 (cost: 85,000 euros) and Strautmann PS 3401 (price: 99,500 euros) have the same width, but are mainly divided into different tank capacities.
If we are dealing with a large pig or cow farm, it is worth adding and investing in a more expensive model that will be more spacious. However, if animal breeding is only an addition to farming, then it is better to allocate funds to the cheapest model FARMTECH Superfex 800 (2) or the slightly more expensive Samson SP 14/17.

Compost
Feeding cows and pigs only give liquid manure if they do not have straw bedding. Considering the fact that the efficiency of most fertilizers is the same (with the exception of lime and radish), there is no need to spend extra money at the beginning, for example, on straw.
Machines available in Liquid Manure category. The choice of tool is not easy – we have manure spreaders, separate containers for fertilizers and tools for temporary storage of liquids.
Garant Kotte offers a range of fertilizers, including the cheapest fertilizer tank. Garant Kotte VE 8000 (3) is the best choice to start with. Strong value for money (8,000 liters for 23,000 euros) and a width of 9 meters are the strengths of this design.
In addition to the Garant Kotte brand manure spreader, we have a choice of Garant Kotte TSA 30000 liquid manure container, to which we can also connect a Garant Kotte FRC field tank. Thus, we will get 85,000 liters of liquid containers with a total value of 97,000 euros.
If you need a bigger spreader, you can buy the ZUNHAMMER SKE 18.5 PUD for 65,000 euros – this requires a medium tractor.
In addition, we can purchase ZUNHAMMER Zunidisc (5) for ZUNHAMMER SKE 18.5 PUD (4) with a capacity of 18500 liters. At a price of 93,000 euros, we can cultivate soil 6.2 meters wide and spread fertilizer over an area of 14.8 meters. Of course, this solution is beneficial if we do not have a cultivator, especially a wider one.
The Samson brand also allows you to create tool kits. In this case, we must purchase manure spreader and fertilizer tank separately. We have 3 spreader models available, two of which allow you to connect 3 different Samson tanks, but are relatively narrow (7 and 12 meters wide).
The cheaper versions of Samson TD 12 and Samson SD 700 are not economical solutions. Even if we save on buying them, the cheapest special tank with a capacity of 20,000 liters costs € 93,000. In addition, the working width of the tools is not attractive. Being able to grow a Samson SD 700 might seem like an advantage, but it’s better to opt for the cheaper ZUNHAMMER kit.
The most expensive model Samson SBH4 36 has a working width of 36 meters, and only Samson PG II 35 with a capacity of 34,500 liters can be connected to it. The total cost of such a set is 238,000 €. Its advantage is the width, not the price-to-volume ratio. Veenhuis Premium Integral II (6) at a price of 165,000 euros offers a slightly smaller width and capacity (30 meters and 30,000 liters), but buying in this price range is definitely more profitable.
