Surgent Studios, which previously released the action platformer Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, has announced its new project called FixForce. The game is a cooperative action game designed to be played together by a group of up to six people. Early access for PC users will open on March 12 in stores Steam and Epic Games Store, and a full release (including Xbox Series X|S consoles) is planned for the second half of 2026.
“We saw the pure chaos and fun that FixForce generated as the project began to take shape, so we decided to act quickly and publish it ourselves,” said Surgent Studios founder Abubakar Salim. “Yes, FixForce is completely different from anything we’ve done before, but listen: we released one game about grief, another about abuse, and we thought, “Can we have a little silly, goofy fun for a second?” I promise we’ll be back to something dark and depressing after this!”
In FixForce, players take on the role of robotic repair crews landing in various areas of a post-apocalyptic world. The main task comes down to finding spare parts and restoring broken equipment under limited time. To move through levels and interact with the environment, characters use a multifunctional drill key, which helps build improvised towers and bridges from found scrap metal. For successfully completed contracts, players receive rewards that provide access to new tools and cosmetic upgrades for their characters.
