For Honor enters the Defiance season with a pirate theme, a processed card and improved graphics

The fresh season of Defiance has opened a new chapter in the development of the multiplayer action Forn for Honor, bringing with it there are many changes, including a new appearance, a redesigned map and improvement of graphics. The focus of the update is captain Coalhart, who has become the face of the season and accessible in the form of a premium appearance for the Pirate class. Its story is tied on a treasure hunt, which, according to legend, was left in the canyon after the destructive storm and the retreat of the Horkos troops.

As part of the free Cracing Waves, players can get cosmetic objects associated with a pirate theme – from combat outfits to a unique mood effect. In addition, two military passes were added to the game: the current seasonal and Legacy Pass from the fifth year of support. Fans of modifications of equipment will also at their disposal new weapons and variations of armor for viking heroes.

The Canyon card was significantly redone. Now it reflects the consequences of the past conflict and serves as an arena for hunting for a treasure. The updated design affected visual and game aspects, which is especially noticeable in Dominion mode. At the technical level, For Honor got a number of graphic improvements. Skin Sub-Surface Scattering technology allows more realistic to transmit the interaction of light with the skin of the characters, and the modified water physics and wind effects make what is happening on the screen more expressive.

The changes also affected the combat system. In testing modes, developers test new evasion mechanics. For all the heroes of the Assassins, the side deflects are now activated through the front dash, while the behavior of the racks during evasion has been processed for other heroes. These changes are not yet final and will be adjusted according to the results of reviews.
