ArenaNet has released the fourth major expansion for the MMORPG Guild Wars 2, Secrets of the Obscure. Like the previous ones, it is paid and sold for $24.99. If desired, you can purchase the more expensive Deluxe Edition ($49.99) and Ultimate Edition ($74.99).
In the new storyline, players will find themselves in the role of experienced defenders and brave explorers who have to save the world from danger. The adventure begins in the Skywatch Archipelago, one of two new maps coming on release day. Floating above Tyria, these aerial islands have been invaded by the Cryptis, vicious demons who have crept through the rifts in the Mist and threaten the balance of the world after the death of the elder dragons. Then the players will face an epic battle in the realm of demons, where they, along with new mysterious allies, will decide the fate of the world.
In addition to the new story, the expansion added two new zones to Guild Wars 2 (a third coming later), new strike missions, an updated flight system, a relic system, and new rewards. Details can be found on the official website.
