Most of the secrets in the game are simple and repetitive, allowing the player to easily understand the principle of their detection, but some will have to be carefully searched, and it is worth it: the reward for them can be both valuable resources for improving characters and equipment, and new impressions of exploring the world.
The longer you play Genshin Impact, the easier it becomes to notice patterns and guess where the developers could hide the next secret. The vast world of the game is full of secluded places in which you may find an impressive reward, or you may not find anything – you will not know until you check.

Chest at the Mondstadt Waterfall
Not all players have studied the northern part of Mondstadt well. In the end, the Petrel Mountains are not the most interesting place, and you should go there only because of the Anemo Hypostasis. It is for this reason that many miss the secret hidden in these places.
In the north of the mountainous area there is a large waterfall. At its lowest end is a platform, and on it is a luxurious chest. It’s the easiest chest to get, because all you need to get to it is plan down. And it is not difficult to guess about its existence – hiding secrets behind waterfalls in open-world games has already become a kind of law of the genre.
Achievement Fantastic Four
Getting and leveling up a good character in Genshin Impact can be quite difficult due to the small starting number of Origin Stones in free-to-play accounts. One of the ways to get additional Stones and materials to improve characters and equipment is to perform achievements, but not all of them the game lets you know from the very beginning: there are many secret achievements, the existence of which can only be accidentally fulfilled by fulfilling all their conditions.
One of these achievements is called the Fantastic Four. To get it, complete any dungeon and complete the challenge with a team of four characters of the same element. The most difficult thing here is to assemble such a team, because the loss of characters depends on luck, but if you are still lucky, there will be no further big problems: to achieve it is enough to pass the test at any level of difficulty, even on an easy one.
Secret achievement in settings
Not all hidden achievements can be completed simply by playing the game. Genshin Impact also has secrets that require a non-standard approach that goes beyond the usual framework. In this case, beyond the gameplay. A lot of players still don’t have the “Have you heard it all, haven’t you?” achievement, and now you’ll see why.
To get it, you’ll have to go… in the game settings. Or rather, in the sound settings, where you will need to pull the voice volume slider back and forth, switching between high and low values. To get this achievement even at the first level, while not improving the traveler too much, you need to hold down the jerk button and run until the endurance indicator approaches zero, and then immediately switch to jumping. By bouncing, you will keep the inertia from running and fly forward, and the animation of the end of the run will not play. If everything is done correctly, the achievement will immediately be obtained.
Achievements for flights
Many of the secrets in Genshin Impact serve as a reward for the curious, encouraging exploration and travel through the world. One of the main ways to travel is to soar from one place to another, because in this case the speed of movement is higher, the endurance consumption is lower, and you can also avoid meeting with ground enemies. A number of achievements are dedicated to soaring, and some of them are secret.
The best way to get these achievements is to fly over the sea from the Starhead Cliff to the island, which is viewed from a height. You will have to stay in the air for a long time, so you will need to either maximize endurance, or restore it right in flight with the help of food. Upon landing, you will receive the achievements “Golden Flying License” and “Almost Like Having Wings”.
Secret Island Chests
Speaking of a secret island. Here you can find another secret that for many Genshin Impact players went unnoticed. This secluded piece of sushi hides not only important information for understanding the plot, but also several chests that are not so easy to notice at first sight.
The most famous of them is a luxurious chest in a half-flooded niche inside the wall at the back of the island. However, there are two more: an ordinary chest in the center of the ruins and an exquisite chest on the northern beach. The Secret Chest at Wangshu
The Wangshu Inn stands on top of a cliff in Li Yue, towering over the water and giving the impression of a grand architectural marvel. Here you will find a lot of third-party quests, shops and simple chests, so be sure to take the time to look around and explore the location. Outside the hotel there is also something interesting – a chest, which is very difficult to find by chance. However, now you will have instructions on how to do this.
Jump off the roof of the hotel, facing its southeast corner. Next, hover towards the watermill and swim under the building at the place where the water wheel adjoins it. Activate any cryo skill and see a rich chest under the hotel.
Quest about an unnamed treasure
As you travel the world, you can find special items called unnamed treasures. Many players do not know what to do with them: it is completely unclear to whom to give them, or how to use them themselves. It turns out that they are far from useless: this is part of the secret quest in Li Yue, and the reward for it is 40 Origin Stones and a huge amount of Mora!
After completing three treasures in the course of completing quests and puzzles in the Li Yue region, head to the main part of the city, to the antique shop. Nearby is a shop, behind the counter of which is Lin Lang – talk to her after nine o’clock in the evening, and a special thread about nameless treasures will open in the dialogue. This branch will start the quest and complete it if you have already collected all three treasures, after which you will receive a reward.
Chest in Gu Yun Stone Forest
In Genshin Impact, you can interact not only with characters and enemies, but often with the environment, and sometimes this gives an unexpected result. For example, in the stone forest of Gu Yun there is a boat on which lies a pile of stones. The pile seems suspiciously superfluous in such a place, which is why many have an instinctive desire to break it.
And this turns out to be the right decision: if you clean the boat of stones, you will see that a chest was hidden in it. And it’s not even important here, but the fact that the game has a lot of similar secrets, the key to which is just as simple: if some element of the environment looks completely out of place, try to break it and see what happens. Itinerant Merchant Cloris
Finding content to enhance your characters in Genshin Impact is no easy task, especially at high levels. That’s because so many of the items needed for this have a long recharge time when they appear in the world, which is why you have to wait extra before you can get them again. However, this problem can be partially solved thanks to a girl named Cloris.
Cloris usually walks along the main road in the Valley of the Wind, looking for plants and talking to herself. Having entered into a dialogue with her, you can buy some plants and mushrooms of philanemo, and if necessary, you can buy at least the entire stock – in just a few days the goods will appear again. If you need to improve Lisa, Barbara or Rasor, it makes sense to visit Cloris regularly, because she just has the right items.
Signature recipes
Each Genshin Impact character has certain dishes that he or she knows how to cook better than others. Sometimes thanks to this, it is possible to create more food than usual, and sometimes the character can prepare an improved version of the dish, giving more significant bonuses. When cooking, be sure to check which recipes your characters specialize in – perhaps with the help of one of them you can more profitably dispose of the available resources.
Take, for example, chicken kebab with mushrooms – a dish for which the ingredients are quite easy to get. At a certain point in the story, Kaia joins you, and among other things, he is useful because he knows how to cook a special dish based on this simple recipe. Just let him cook kebabs enough times, and then he will begin to please you with Fruit Kebabs, which restore health much better than usual.
Knight of the Blood Set
Genshin Impact has plenty of non-obvious ways to get good items in the early stages of the game. One of these ways involves visiting the cathedral in Mondstadt, where you will need to talk to a nun named Victoria. When communicating with her, choose the third option in the dialogue, and then Victoria will give you a high-level artifact from the Blood Knight set.
By improving this artifact even at a low level, you can simplify the initial stages of the game, depending on which character will use it, and at the same time you do not have to risk or give something to get it. The bonus to the parameters is determined by which artifact from the set you get, and if you are lucky, it may be the one that increases the basic strength of the attack. Thanks to this, your character will be able to inflict high physical damage, and this will always come in handy.
Bank robbery
In Li Yue, in the main part of the city, there is a bank marked with a diamond icon. Go up the red stairs and look for the entrance – for this you will have to cross the street several times on overpasses and run up and down stairs.
At the end of the road, you will find yourself in front of the doors that will be guarded by an unplayable character – depending on the time of day it is either Vlad (day) or Nadia (night). Once inside, find the stairs to the right of the cashier and follow it up to the very end. On the top floor you will find a secret chest, and in it – 200,000 Mora.
The value of this find depends on at what stage of the game you get it. At the initial levels, it may seem that there is nothing special about it, because you already have enough More. However, if in the later stages you do not have enough money to improve the characters and weapons, this secret chest will be very useful, because Mora is one of the main consumables, along with materials for improvements. Such is a bank robbery, for which there is not even a shame.
