One of the announced PlayStation 5 exclusives will not be released on time. Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan revealed that Gran Turismo 7’s car simulator had been pushed back to 2022. The reason was the coronavirus pandemic, which slowed down the development process.
“GT7 is facing manufacturing challenges related to COVID-19 and will therefore be postponed from 2021 to 2022. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this is a dynamic and changing situation, and some critical aspects of game development have slowed down in the past few months. We will share more details on the GT7 release date when it arrives, ”said Jim Ryan.
Gran Turismo 7 was announced in June 2020 during The Future of Gaming Show.
