Guide Baldurs Gate 3 how to recruit Mintara in Guide Baldur's Gate 3 - how to recruit Mintara in your squad

If in Baldur’s Gate 3 you want to go over to the dark side, so to speak, then you should definitely get Mintar in your squad of scoundrels – an insidious drow who will definitely not condemn your aggressive style of passing the game.

Mintara is one of the optional companions in Baldur’s Gate 3. She is a dark elf and deadly paladin who wields two blades at the same time and serves the Cult of the Absolute. In order to convince her to join your group, you must help her defeat the druids during the Raid on the Grove quest. However, keep in mind that this way of completing the mission excludes the possibility of taking the friendly druid Khalsin into the squad and vice versa. You cannot get both characters as partners in the same playthrough.

If you don’t go down the right path in Act 1 from the very beginning, you may lose such a powerful and colorful ally as Mintara, and we cannot afford this, so below we will tell you how to ingratiate yourself with this evil drow, convince him to become part of your squad and don’t miss the chance to get to know her better.

How to find Mintara

Mintara is a powerful and notoriously evil optional partner who can only be obtained if you choose to cooperate with the Cult of the Absolute and agree to help destroy the Emerald Grove in the first act.

At the beginning of the game, you will certainly find yourself in the Emerald Grove – the refuge of the druids, where tiefling refugees are hiding. If you follow the story quest, then sooner or later you will go to the goblin camp in the west in search of their missing leader Khalsin.

Note: Under no circumstances should you save Khalsin if you don’t want to make the mission more difficult for yourself. You also need to make sure that the Emerald Grove ritual spell is not activated, thus depriving your opponents of the advantage.

But first, you must ingratiate yourself with Mintar, who sits in the goblin camp. You can either infiltrate the camp using Wisdom or Charisma, or take control of the mind of the guards with the powers of the illithids (Mind Flayer larvae in the protagonist’s head). But keep in mind that these abilities can only be used once before a long rest, so don’t rush to play this trump at the start of a long mission.

Once you’ve convinced the guards to let you in, enter the Broken Shrine and go past the Priestess of the Gath and the ritual hall. Next, look for a room with a library – there you will meet Mintara.

Note: If you start a fight in the goblin camp, you won’t be able to recruit her.

Speak to Mintara and inform her of the location of the Emerald Grove, then rest at the camp. After that, return to the Emerald Grove and talk to Zevlor – the leader of a group of tiefling refugees who are hiding in the druid grove. You can either betray them now or wait for another conversation with Mintara.

When Mintara mentally connects with you, agree to open the gate, allowing the goblin army to attack. When the battle begins, she will join you as a combat ally.

After Mintara joins your camp, continue to complete her quests and requests until she becomes a full member of the group.
